Food has always been a huge part of my life growing up in Turkey, a country blessed with plenty of sunshine, fresh fruit and vegetables packed with flavours together with recipes passed down through generations. I passionately enjoyed cooking my homeland dishes such as börek varieties including “su böreği”, mantı, dolma-sarma, baklava, poğaça1, to name a few. My cooking hasn’t been limited to Turkish only cuisine.
Baking cakes, cupcakes and pies has also been one of my favourite kitchen hobby. My inspiration to turn my hobby into a business started when I attended a Mother’s Day celebration at my daughter’s primary school. One of the vendors was selling decorated cupcakes which looked extremely elegant! It was at that moment I decided to learn to decorate cupcakes, pies and cakes. Ever since, I have aspired to perfect my artistic piping skills.
My culinary journey started professionally after I took one of my bakes, poğaça, to one of the local cafés to sell. They were so impressed; I was asked to deliver them regularly. I was also offered a position with a local Mediterranean deli/bakery shop. I am now delighted to offer this wonderful food I love through my website.
